Chiropractic Center of Bristol
When I decided to open the Chiropractic Center of Bristol in 1983 I searched several towns in the area that were in need of chiropractic care. Bristol, CT was a small town compared to where I grew up (Brooklyn), but it was large enough to sustain a thriving practice. Since the surrounding towns of Burlington, Farmington, Plainville and Southington were so close, I felt many of the residents of those communities would find it convenient to come to a Bristol chiropractor for treatment.
Dr. Astrid Baldrich , a chiropractic physician, is our clinic director. Dr. Baldrich is a native of Puerto Rico and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She is excited to provide quality chiropractic care to Bristol Connecticut and the surrounding communities. If you’re looking for a doctor that cares, look no further than Dr. Baldrich.
We Are Dedicated to Our Patients
The doctors and staff of the Chiropractic Center of Bristol are dedicated to the well-being of our patients and their families. As chiropractors, we are passionate about the chiropractic care provided to our patients, and we strive to teach them about wellness so they in turn can make a difference in the health of their entire family. We have implemented “best practice” methods for each patient, and provide effective, evidence-based chiropractic care.
Why Do People Go to the Chiropractor?
The main reason people seek chiropractic treatment is for neck pain, back pain or headaches. The pain may have come on suddenly from and accident, moving wrong, or even sleeping the wrong way. Other times, the pain has come on more slowly, as in the case with overuse injuries. Acute or chronic pain can affect our work, our social activities and our family life. If you have ever doubted the effectiveness of chiropractic for treating neck pain, back pain, or headaches, check out the American Chiropractic Association research. You will also learn about the cost-effectiveness and patient satisfaction when treating with a chiropractor.
As chiropractors, both Dr. Astrid Baldrich and Dr David Spitz seek to provide their patients with pain relief without medication and to correct the problem so it doesn’t return. One important aspect to help prevent future problems, often missing in healthcare, is that we teach our patients how to strengthen the injured area. This home exercise/stretch program is paramount to the healing process. The ultimate goal is optimal wellness. Our training and experience provides us with the tools needed to teach our patients how to exercise injured areas without causing additional harm. It’s not easy to change your lifestyle; if it was, everyone would be doing it. As a pilot and a 2nd degree black belt in Kyokushin karate, I know the benefits of discipline and dedication. I can help you attain the discipline needed to make major changes in your life. Please allow Dr Baldrich and I to be your wellness mentor and lifestyle coach. Conditions Treated at Chiropractic Center of Bristol

There are a variety of musculoskeletal problems that are successfully treated by a chiropractor. Conditions treated are either acute, or chronic. An acute problem is one that is sudden and often severe in onset. A chronic condition is one that has usually been present for over 3 months. Whether you are in pain due to a recent problem, or have been in pain for months or years, you should be examined by a chiropractic team with decades of experience.
Dr David Spitz & Dr Astrid Baldrich
Dr David Spitz, who was licensed as a chiropractor in Connecticut in 1982, has been treating patients at the Chiropractic Center of Bristol since he founded it in 1983. As someone who gets migraine headaches and has been in a car accident, Dr Spitz can uniquely sympathize with patients who are in pain. As a chiropractor with over 39 years of experience he specializes in chiropractic treatment for neck pain, back pain, migraines & headaches, stress, insomnia and auto injuries. In addition, his years of experience in both chiropractic and martial arts has given him the expertise to treat sports injuries, and the opportunity to treat many patients with them; Dr Spitz continues to share this valuable knowledge with Dr. Baldrich.
Dr Astrid Baldrich first went to a chiropractor while in college after injuring her lower back. She had very good results in just a few visits; that’s when she had an epiphany and decided to change her desired career from MD to a DC (Doctor of Chiropractic). Dr Baldrich has worked with Dr. Spitz since graduating chiropractic school in Connecticut. She brings a unique passion and dedication to the Chiropractic Center of Bristol that helps to benefit all of our patients. Dr Baldrich is proud to be a chiropractor and she is dedicated to helping all of her patients get well.
